PEANUT COFFEE

Robusta coffee. Robusta means "strong." Robusta coffee is a beverage extracted from coffee beans that have a strong flavor and tend to be more bitter than Arabica. Scientifically named Coffea canephora, it is widely used as a raw material for instant coffee and as a blend in mixed coffee recipes to make the coffee flavor stronger and more balanced. Additionally, robusta beans are also widely used to make milk-based coffee beverages such as cappuccino, café latte, macchiato, etc.

The robusta clone from Karangjambu on the slopes of Mount Slamet has a very unique taste spectrum within the quality of a cup of coffee, influenced by the tropical humid air and post-harvest processing factors, including benefits, fermentation, and roasting conditions, as well as variations and composition of the processed coffee. It has an aftertaste of peanut, duku (langsat fruit), and a sweet aroma of longan fruit if the coffee cherry fruit is tasted/eaten.

The Peanut Coffee process is the result of the Barista's expertise in blending the coffee by introducing sugar as a medium, allowing the spices in the Maillard reaction to push the caffeine to the wall, thus enabling the spices in the coffee to reveal a peanut flavor profile. The robusta aroma remains strong, fruity, and legit (rich/savory-sweet).
